Security forces shoot 20 year Kurd man point-blank in the head
On Sunday afternoon, September 18, security forces shot a young man point blank in the head after telling him to come out of his car. According to reports from the town of Sardasht, this young Kurd man identified as 20 year old Savat Yusefi was stopped by security forces in Sardasht while driving by and was immediately shot at close range by security forces. He died on the spot from his head shot wound.
Yusefi’s body was taken to a hospital in Sardasht by security forces.There are speculations that this young man was stopped under the pretext of carrying smuggled goods, but it is not known why he was directly shot in the head. Eyewitnesses have said that he did not show any kind of aggression. From the beginning of the current [Persian] year [which started in March 2011], 40 people have been killed after being shot by security forces and 31 people were injured.
